Tour Spinnaker Chocolate Factory. Learn about where we source our beans then see how we transform them into finished chocolate bars. We'll end the tour with samples of a variety of finished chocolate bars. For guests 7 years and older.
During our chocolate factory tour, you will learn in detail how we craft chocolate starting with cocoa beans and ending with wrapped and sealed chocolate bars.
A quick heads-up: The tour lasts 45–60 minutes and is entirely standing, with walking through our active factory. The factory floor is wheelchair accessible. If you plan to use a wheelchair, please let us know ahead of time so we can adjust the group size to ensure there's enough room for everyone.
On the tour, you'll discover:
1. How cacao is grown and where it comes from.
2. How we clean and sort our cocoa beans before production.
3. How we roast, grind, and conche our chocolate to maximize flavor and aroma.
4. And how we temper, mold, and wrap our chocolate bars.
We'll also get to examine raw cocoa beans, taste some chocolate in production, and sample a variety of finished chocolate bars with unique flavor characteristics.
A few things to know before you visit:
SAFETY FIRST: Because we walk through a working factory, all guests must be able to follow safety instructions including not touching equipment or supplies and staying with the group throughout the tour.
AGE REQUIREMENT: Tours are for guests ages 7 and up. Our tour is designed for adults and older children.
PRODUCTION SCHEDULE: Chocolate is typically made Sunday–Friday, 10 AM–4:30 PM. Saturday tours and tours after 4:30 PM may not see active production, but we'll still feature the machines and explain how they work. Some machines may not be running.
KEEP IT FRAGRANCE-FREE: Please avoid strong perfumes and fragrances.
TRAVEL LIGHT: Large bags, strollers, and personal water bottles must be left at the start of the tour. Please keep personal belongings off factory counters and work surfaces.
ALLERGEN INFORMATION: Our factory is gluten-free and nut-free (the cafe serves almond-milk using different equipment). Most of our chocolate samples are vegan, though one sample contains dairy.
